War Child

"Crazy Faces" for War Child , Integrated Campaign

War Child is a non-profit organisation helping kids living in war zones.

The Brief : Come up with a campaign that will spread awareness about the difficulty with which kids in war express their emotions.

The concept/project: We created a real time game consisting of animations that had to be imitated by the participants. We installed this game in 2 photo-booths which we place in Amsterdam and Palestine. During a 2 days event, the kids in both cities could play against each other real-time. Based on facial recognition software, we could recognise if the right emotions were imitated and in which speed. The same game has been adjusted to one opponent game and embedded in the campaign website. The seeding video of the live event has been used as an awareness trigger on the campaign website and invited the "older" kids to play the game and spread their photos through social media. 

As Interactive Producer at Achtung!, I was responsible for:
- the activation campaign website (Dutch and English version)
- the stand-alone game installed in photo booths (in Dutch and Arabic)
- the different version of the stand-alone game embedded in the website
- the production of the PR event
- the content video around the PR event, used to seed the campaign
- the print posters
- the client relationship management
- the budgets, deadlines, planning
- the coordination and management of the creative team consisting from designers, art director and copywriter
- the management of the production company responsible for the development of the game and the website
